About This Role

Join Target as a Customer Service Representative and be the solution expert our guests rely on. As a Customer Service Representative, you will work at our Guest Services desk, helping guests with returns, exchanges, order pickups, and answering questions about Target services and policies. You will turn potentially frustrating situations into positive experiences through your problem-solving skills, empathy, and knowledge of Target policies. Your role is critical in ensuring every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return.

In this customer-focused position, you will process returns and exchanges efficiently, handle registry services, manage online order pickups, and assist with Target RedCard applications. You will serve as the main point of contact for guest concerns, working to resolve issues on the spot while knowing when to escalate matters to leadership. Your ability to remain calm under pressure, multitask effectively, and maintain a positive attitude will be essential as you help dozens of guests each day. You will also support phone inquiries, coordinate with other departments, and ensure the Guest Services area remains organized and welcoming.

What You'll Do

  • Welcome guests at Guest Services desk with friendly, helpful demeanor
  • Process returns and exchanges according to Target policies
  • Handle online order pickups including drive-up and in-store pickup
  • Assist guests with Target Circle, registry services, and RedCard applications
  • Resolve guest concerns and complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to appropriate departments
  • Process damaged or defective merchandise and salvage items
  • Maintain accurate cash handling for refunds and exchanges
  • Keep Guest Services area clean, organized, and well-stocked
  • Collaborate with leadership to address complex guest situations

What We're Looking For

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
  • Proficiency with technology and ability to learn multiple systems
  • Excellent multitasking skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Previous customer service or retail experience preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
