About This Role
Join Target as a Beauty Consultant and share your passion for cosmetics, skincare, and personal care with our guests. As a Beauty Consultant, you will be the expert in Target's beauty department, helping guests discover products that make them look and feel their best. You will provide personalized recommendations, demonstrate product features, and create an engaging shopping experience in one of our most exciting departments. Your knowledge of beauty trends, products, and techniques will help guests navigate our extensive selection of makeup, skincare, haircare, and fragrance.
In this specialized retail role, you will maintain the beauty department's presentation standards, ensuring products are attractively displayed, properly stocked, and easy to shop. You will become knowledgeable about various brands we carry, from prestige lines to affordable favorites, so you can guide guests to products that fit their needs and budgets. You will also assist with product demonstrations, manage testers and samples, and ensure the department remains clean and organized. Your ability to build rapport with guests and provide expert advice will drive sales while creating loyal customers who return to Target for their beauty needs.

What You'll Do
- Provide expert beauty advice and product recommendations to guests
- Demonstrate makeup application techniques and skincare routines
- Maintain extensive knowledge of beauty products, brands, and trends
- Keep beauty department fully stocked, organized, and visually appealing
- Manage product testers and samples according to hygiene standards
- Process new beauty shipments and execute merchandising plans
- Build guest loyalty through exceptional, personalized service
- Drive sales through product knowledge and suggestive selling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of beauty department
- Partner with brand representatives and attend training sessions
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Passion for beauty products and staying current with beauty trends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide friendly, personalized guest service
- Strong product knowledge or willingness to learn quickly
- Comfortable demonstrating products and providing beauty advice
- Attention to detail in maintaining department appearance
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Previous beauty, cosmetics, or specialty retail experience preferred
